This Privacy Policy describes how Field Assembly LLC ("Field Assembly," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and handles information in connection with the Shim commissioned-report service. It applies to information collected through the Shim website, intake forms, email communications, and document submissions made in connection with commissioning a report.
By submitting an intake form or using the service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Questions or concerns can be directed to hello@fieldassembly.net.
When you commission a report, we collect the information you submit through the intake form and associated communications. This includes:
Source documents may contain personal or financial information about third parties. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share those documents with Field Assembly for the purpose of producing your report.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Field Assembly does not collect or store payment card numbers or bank account details. Stripe's own privacy policy governs collection and handling of your payment information. Field Assembly receives confirmation of payment completion and associated transaction identifiers from Stripe, which are retained for accounting purposes.
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics software, or third-party tracking pixels. No usage data is collected about your visit.
We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, do not submit an intake form or provide any information to us. We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is incidentally present in source documents you submit.
We use the information you provide solely to:
We do not use your information or source documents to train machine learning models, to improve third-party AI systems outside the scope of the specific report, to build databases of real estate information, or for any purpose other than producing and delivering your commissioned report.
Source documents you submit are processed through two channels: the operator's local machine and Anthropic's Claude API. When documents are transmitted to Claude for LLM-assisted extraction, they are subject to Anthropic's data handling policies. Anthropic's API terms prohibit use of submitted data to train models. Field Assembly does not use document content for any purpose beyond the specific commission.
Documents are not uploaded to any cloud storage platform, shared with any analytics service, or retained in any database following the completion of a commission. After a report is delivered, source documents are purged from the operator's working record within 30 days.
Certain contact information and transaction records are retained for accounting and legal compliance for up to 3 years after the commission closes, then deleted unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Field Assembly does not sell, rent, or share your personal information or source documents with third parties for marketing, data analytics, or any commercial purpose. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Field Assembly takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Source documents are handled on the operator's local machine and transmitted only as described in Section 4 and 5. Report deliverables are transmitted to you via email.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised in connection with a Shim engagement, contact us at hello@fieldassembly.net promptly.
